What precautions should be taken before using MUSE?
The first administering of MUSE should be done always in a doctor’s office due to the possibility of allergic reaction to the alprostadil or (in very rare cases) of fainting after the initial dose.
This is also a good way to learn how to properly use the applicator, and urinating right before inserting it into the urethra is always recommended. Needless to say, in the case of great discomfort or any other side effects a doctor should be immediately consulted.
