Last time I had an erection was 2 years ago – what can I do?

Question by Tod:

Hello. For about 2 years I have experienced troubles with erection.

Actually 2 years ago was the very last time I was able to achieve it.

I think I have male impotence.

My wife left me. We divorced.

I decided to stop any relationships with women as I was unable to satisfy them and it was very embarrassing.

But a couple of days ago I met wonderful women. All was OK, we chatted and walked on the streets.
After that we came to my place and made an attempt to have sex. But again my erection was too weak and I was unable do anything…

Please, help! Is there any way to fix impotence? I want to be healthy again.

Answer:

Hello, Tod. Thanks for your question.

Male impotence can be caused by psychological or physical causes.

Most common psychological causes are stress, depression and anxiety. They cause about 20% of all impotence cases.

Good way to fix psychogenic impotence is to focus on physical sensations of your and your partner’s bodies rather than on sexual arousal. Close warm relationship can help improve erection too.

You should also check if you have nocturnal erections. If you don’t – your ED is mist likely caused by physical factors, such as serious underlying diseases, trauma, surgery of many others.

In any case if you want your impotence fixed I suggest you to consult your doctor and have some tests done in order to determine the cause of your impotence. After that your doctor will determine an appropriate treatment. Please have in mind that impotence is a manageable condition and in many cases the treatment include certain medications, such as generic Viagra or others.
